Deployment In New Zealand (Hospital)

Tauranga Hospital set to improve mobility parking through the tekzipark sensor parking solution.

Sensors were installed into mobility parks of Tauranga Hospital Main entrance car park today to monitor the mobility parking occupancy.

With the support of CCS Disability Action, the aim is to have all Mobility Parking permits issued with electronic wireless mobility cards that the parking sensor recognises as soon as the mobility car parks in a mobility spot. This provides the hospital operations staff if the mobility parking space is occupied or not and an immediate notification if the car is not a registered mobility user. The hospital can then either issue a warning, infringement or tow a vehicle that is not eligible in the car park. This leaves the mobility parking space available for those who need it the most.
